Yes, there's more than bourbon.
Welcome to the Bluegrass State. Yes, we've got basketball, bourbon, and horses. But we've also got waterfalls, moonbows, castles, and much more. Check out the list below for a few of our favorite things to do in Kentucky.
The Bourbon Trail (Of course): to find out all you need to know about the bourbon trail but don't skip on some Frankfort favorites like Castle & Key, J. Mattingly, and Whiskey Thief in addition to your Buffalo Trace trip!
The Kentucky Castle: A unique experience only 20 minutes from the Long Pour where you can indulge in a beautiful meal, spa trip, or just walk the grounds for a picturesque afternoon.
Keeneland Race Track: Check out horseraces with the locals in Lexington at Keeneland. Enjoy the Spring meet in April and fall meet in October.
Red River Gorge/Natural Bridge: If you're into a great hiking trip, don't miss Red River Gorge and finding the Natural Bridge with a beautiful view. Don't skip on Miguel's pizza while you're there!
Cumberland Falls: Located in Corbin, Kentucky the Cumberland Falls is are known as the "Niagara of the South" and are truly majestic. If your trip happens to fall during a full moon, you may be so lucky to catch a glimpse of the moonbow. While in Corbin stop at the original KFC!
